In March 2025, as diplomatic tensions escalated in the Sahel, regional governments and external actors scrambled to understand how public sentiment was evolving. But traditional intelligence channels fell short — unable to track fast-moving narratives or decode the emotional shifts happening online.

GeoSentinel was activated.

Using a tailored combination of OSINT and perception analytics, we monitored TikTok, Facebook, and Telegram to detect sentiment shifts in real-time. From anti-intervention rhetoric to viral hashtags, we tracked how attitudes toward Gulf partners changed hour by hour.

Our findings helped inform briefings for regional envoys and sharpened the messaging of Gulf partners operating in West Africa. When narratives move, the smartest response is not reaction — it’s anticipation.
